Owner Profile


Michel Hudson, CFRE, has a passion for helping nonprofits and associations succeed.Michel Hudson, CFRE, started her own consulting firm in 2001, providing guidance for nonprofits and associations in the areas of strategic planning facilitation, surveys, e-newsletters, collateral writing, and online strategy development and redesigns.

With more than 20 years experience, Michel has been a frequent speaker at regional and international conferences and workshops for AFP, AHP, APRA, CASE, TAPE and other associations. She was a member of the APRA International Board of Directors from 1994 through 2001, serving as President the last three years of her term, and was honored with the 2003 APRA Distinguished Service Award.

Michel has been responsible for event planning and management for several professional associations, including projects such as programming, volunteer recruitment and coordination, daily newsletter production, bid processes and setup/oversight of conference computing centers. An author of brochures and materials for nonprofits and businesses, she has also written over 100 articles for professional nonprofit and association journals. She is the editor and co-author of Prospect Research Fundamentals (now in its third edition), and is included in several Who’s Who directories.  

Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Michel is an essayist and award-winning artist.
