Michel Hudson, CFRE has more than 25 years experience guiding nonprofits and associations.
She has served in the roles of staff, volunteer, board member, and consultant, so she understands organizational issues from many different perspectives.
Michel has been responsible for event planning and management for several professional associations, including projects such as conference programming, volunteer coordination, daily newsletter production, and auction management.
An author of brochures and materials for nonprofits and businesses, she has also written over 100 articles for professional journals. She is the editor and co-author of three editions of Prospect Research Fundamentals, and is included in several Who’s Who directories.
Self-professed as addicted to volunteering, she has served as a member of the board and executive team of a number of organizations, including APRA International, the Pflugerville Education Foundation, Business + Balance Austin, Hutto Discovery UMC, and Freelance Austin. She was honored with the 2003 APRA Distinguished Service Award, and a 2015-16 Volunteer of the Year Award from Pflugerville ISD.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Michel is an essayist and award-winning artist. Her hobbies include photography and storm-chasing with her family.
